The Greenhouse Café Felixstowe – Heartwarming Food

📅 May 7, 2026 | ✍️ Sneaky305Club

I visited The Greenhouse Café in Felixstowe on 7th November 2024, and it genuinely felt like winter had arrived.

The day was cold and grey, but stepping inside this plant-based café felt like a warm little escape from all that. Very much needed, because November does like to turn up and immediately start causing problems.

It was fairly busy, with plenty of people enjoying their food. One person in particular caught my attention — he was there with his family and was absolutely loving it. He couldn’t believe everything was vegan, so I had to mention him because his excitement really stood out.

It also seemed like most people were going for the Pumpkin and Kale Lasagne that day, which is always a good sign. If everyone’s ordering the same thing, you start thinking, “Right, what do they know that I don’t?”

Food and drinks

Pumpkin Spice Latte (£3.60)
I had the Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk, and it was a proper cosy autumn-style drink. It had a nice balance of warming spices and sweetness, without tasting like someone had tipped a candle into a mug.

The oat milk made it feel smooth and velvety, which worked really well.

Pumpkin and Kale Lasagne (£12.00)
For food, I had the Pumpkin and Kale Lasagne, which was a hearty and comforting dish. It had slow-cooked veggie ragu, soft pasta sheets, roasted pumpkin, creamy béchamel, and a kale pesto running through it.

It was served with fresh rocket salad and homemade garlic knots.

The garlic knots deserve a special mention because they were unbelievably soft and pretty much melted in the mouth. I don’t think I’ve ever had a dough ball-style thing make me go “wow” before, but these were next level.

Honestly, the garlic knots alone made the trip to Felixstowe feel worth it.

Cookie Dough Slice (£3.10)
Sadly, the cinnamon buns were already gone before I could get one, which was a bit rude really. But I went for the Cookie Dough Slice instead.

It was dense, chewy, and packed with rich chocolate chunks. Not what I originally planned, but a seriously tasty backup option.
