Koryu Colchester – A Vegan Ramen With A Spicy Option

We visited Koryu in Colchester on January 21st, 2025.

We’d been trying to find a vegan ramen in Colchester that wasn’t just Wagamama’s, and @cherry_lazz from instagram found out about Koryu, so obviously we had to go and have a look.

I had the vegan ramen, and from what I remember, it felt like it was cheaper when I visited. I’m sure I paid around £13 at the time. I’m not sure if the price has gone up since, or if it was a lunchtime special, but everything seems to be creeping up in price now anyway. Very helpful for all of us, obviously.

Either way, I still thought it was decent value, because the portion was massive. I was completely full after it, so I definitely didn’t need any sides or dessert, which is rare for me because I usually start looking at the menu like I’ve got unfinished business.

To go with it, I had a matcha green tea, which cost £3. It was really refreshing alongside the ramen and worked nicely with the meal.

Overall, Koryu was a good find if you’re looking for vegan-friendly food in Colchester, especially if you want something a bit different from the usual options.
